The Buzz in My Head :
5 months 2 weeks and 3 days. That’s the time it’s taken us to get here. We’ve been revamping the Contact Singapore website under wraps all this time. In about 2 hour’s time, the revamped site will go live. Like anxious parents, we hope fervently that the delivery will go well. Like any self-obsessed, neurotic artist(e), we worry – “Will my audience love me ? Am I making the mark? Am I too fat in this light…(ok, maybe this doesn’t apply to a website).
Deep breath. Deep breath. Deep breath. So.
If you’ve never visited our site before, why not drop by and find out what we’re about. If there’re areas we can do better, talk to us. If you already know who we are, been on our site, you’re on our mailing list, attended our events…do come by again and re-acquaint yourself with a new, old friend.
(Which reminds me, here’s a shout-out to one of our new, old friend whom I hope is enjoying the gift we got him !)
The Buzz in Town :
Ian McKellen. Specifically, Sir Ian McKellen playing King Lear at our Esplanade as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s world tour. RSC will also be presenting Anton Chekov’s The Seagull at a matinee performance on Jul 22nd.
Unfortunately, I had procrastinated in getting my tickets about 3 months ago when I heard of this. “Sorry mam, the tickets have all been sold out some time ago already!!,” sniffed the girl behind the counter as I beseeched her to check her system for the 3rd time just to be very very sure that there’re no more tickets for King Lear.
Oh well. There’s always cable.
