Launch of New Contact Singapore!
Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Wong Kan Seng, officially launched the new Contact Singapore on 28 April 2008. The new Contact Singapore is a strategic alliance of the EDB and MOM to attract global talent to work, invest and live in Singapore. With the launch, Contact Singapore will be a one-stop centre for those who wish to pursue a rewarding career in Singapore as well as business leaders and entrepreneurs keen to invest or initiate new business activities in Singapore. It will harness the strong business network and investment promotion capability of EDB and the extensive international outreach to global talent of MOM. In the pipeline are extensive efforts to reach out to global talent, including Overseas Singaporeans. A new Contact Singapore job portal, with available jobs from Singapore-based companies from the technology to financial sectors, was created together with other economic agencies and industry partners. A refreshed Contact Singapore logo was unveiled at the launch event. The red of the logo reflects Singapore's identity, dynamism of the alliance and the country's vibrancy.
